From the Teachers:
April
25-29
This week we learned about zoo animals. We made lion
faces, graphed animal crackers, colored zebra stripes and made an edible zoo
animal snack with animal crackers. We hunted for letters in our sensory
table, talked about the "ch" blend and came up with lots of
words starting with that blend! We have also been learning some new songs for
our graduation ceremony!
If you have not returned your application for 2016-17
school year, please do so as soon as possible!
Also, if you would like to
attend our summer camp, please return your form along with a check for fees.
Remember, we will provide the snack for students during this week.
We are planning lots of fun activities and hope you can join us!!

Let your

Ask kids to become kitchen helpers.
Give kids small jobs in the kitchen and praise their efforts.
Children are much less likely to reject foods that they helped make.
Encourage your kids to stay active!
Did You Know: In addition to improving heart health & strengthening
muscles and bones, being physically active can help you sleep better at
night!

April 25 – Woman at the Well
John 4:3-42
Jesus
was traveling through Samaria and he came to a town called Sychar. He met a
woman at a well and asked her for a drink. She questioned giving him
the water because she was a Samaritan woman (in those days Jews didn’t
associate with Samaritans).
Jesus answered the woman: “If you knew
the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have
asked him and he would have given you living water.”
11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing
to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?
12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us
the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone
who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever
drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give
them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

April 26 – A Sick boy is Made Well
John 4:46-53
Jesus was back in Capernaum where he had turned water
into wine. When a man heard about Jesus’ visit, he begged him to heal his
son. Jesus said:
48 “Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus
told him, “you will never believe.”
49 The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my
child dies.”
50 “Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.”
The man took Jesus at his
word and departed. 51 While he was still on the way, his
servants met him with the news that his boy was living. 52 When
he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him,
“Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.”
53 Then the father realized that this was the exact
time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he and his
whole household believed.

April 27 – Jesus’ Prayer
Matthew 6:5-13
Jesus talked to his disciples
about how to pray the Lord’s Prayer:
5 “And
when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray
standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others.
Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But
when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father,
who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will
reward you. 7 And when you pray, do
not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because
of their many words. 8 Do not be
like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 “This,
then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in
heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on
earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as
we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but
deliver us from the evil one.[b]’
14 For if you forgive other people
when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do
not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

April 28 – Jesus Tells of God’s Love
Matthew 6:25-34
Jesus tells us not to worry.
He said:
“But seek
first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given
to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for
tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
