Wonderful World of Dr. Suess

I can respond to simple questions about Dr. Suess books.
THREE YEAR OLDS
I can follow safety procedures when preforming an experiment.
I can name and identify colors.
I can recognize rhyming words.
PRE-K
I can develop an appreciation for books written by Dr, Suess.
I can participate in various art, math and science activities related to Dr. Suess books.
I can identify and create rhyming words.

Dental Health Week


We are looking forward to learning about 
how to keep our teeth healthy!


The Bible Verse for the week is:
I am the Lord your God,
    who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.
    Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.--Psalm 81:10 (ESV)


The Major Learning Objectives will be:
2 Year Olds:
I can use pretend play to learn and practice new roles.
I can identify a dentist and what they do.
I can learn about healthy foods that are good for my teeth.

3 Year Olds:
I can follow 2-3 step directions.
I can sort and classify objects.
I can combine a sequence of motor skills with control and balance.

Pre-K
I can learn how to properly care for my teeth.
I can practice brushing and flossing through sensory play.
I can sing, read, and create art about dentistry.

Learning About Emotions


Week of February 11th 2018

THEME: Emotions

MAJOR LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

TWO YEAR OLDS
I can recognize emotions.
I can use words to label my feelings
I can identify basic shapes.
THREE YEAR OLDS
I can take part in a Valentine’s Day celebration
I can express a range of emotions verbally and  through facial expressions
I can try to rhyme words and sounds.
PRE-K
I can identify body language to understand feelings in myself and others.
I can manage my feelings in an appropriate manner.
I can participate in multiple classroom experiments.

MAKE-UP DAYS
On the original school calendar we indicated that there would be no school on March 16th for teacher in-service and no school on April 20th for conferences. However we now plan to be open both of these days to make-up for recent inclement weather closings.

Five Senses

Theme: 5 Senses

Using our five senses strengthens our everyday experiences. It helps us understand the world around us.
·         What noises did you hear?
·         What is it you saw?
·         What did it smell like?
·         Did you like the taste?
·         How did it feel?

Dad’s (or any special friend) are invited to come enjoy donuts with their child during morning drop off on Friday, Feb. 9th
