SIGNS OF SPRING
Signs of Spring: Goodbye winter, with your bitter winds and mounds of snow, and hello spring. Spring, of course, marks the beginning of warmer weather and longer daylight hours, the blooming of flowers and the budding of leaves.

SPRING EXPLANATION

Spring is one of the four conventional temperate seasons, following winter and preceding summer. There are various technical definitions of spring, but local usage of the term varies according to local climate, cultures and customs. When it is spring in the Northern Hemisphere, it is autumn in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. At the spring, or vernal, equinox, days are approximately 12 hours long with day length increasing as the season progresses.

Spring and "springtime" refer to the season, and also to ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth.

The Earth’s axis, the imaginary line around which the earth turns in its daily rotation, is slightly tilted. The seasons are caused by this tilt and by the fact that the Earth’s axis always holds the same location in space. If the axis were not tilted, the sun would always be directly over the Equator and the northern and southern hemispheres would both have constant, similar weather the year round
